Gardens

garden3

The garden comes to me by both my grandmothers. My maternal grandmother even wore a bonnet I wish I still had, as she sang old gospel hymns while picking vegetables. Hers and my favorite hymn is “ In The Garden”.  I always thought flowers represented the spring of one’s life and the fruit its maturity.  When I saw Monet paintings and, in 2015, his garden, I realized it is the color palette of all seasons that we are on earth to nurture and to protect.
